case of charm

Being a student in Athens, Georgia has many perks. Some would laude the bar scene, others the sports, but I will always rave about the food.
I’ve developed an expensive habit of frequenting these awesome restaurants. Luckily for me (and my Visa), two of my favorites, Farm 255 and The National are open for lunch, and at a student-friendly price!
Farm 255 has a “Farm Cart” out on their patio in the warmer months! For $8.50 you can get an organic burger, fries and a PBR (it is the townie side of Athens after all)! I snapped some of these shots last week when Kat and I had a little spur-of-the-moment gourmet lunch craving.
Just one street over is The National. I love the interior, I love the food, I love their drinks, I love their logo. And now, I love the King of Pop’s popsicles that they’re distributing (although they’ve started up a cart here too!). So after a burger and a beer, I convinced Kat to a pineapple/habanero popsicle at The National bar. Just $2.50!
Let’s just say I’m a believer, I can’t wait to try the other flavors out as the temperatures continue to rise! According to their Facebook page here are some other ones to look out for: strawberry lime, grapefruit hibiscus, pineapple cilantro, orange basil, Arnold Palmer (!!!), banana puddin’, & Mexican chocolate.
The King of Pop’s cart should be set up near the UGA library during the day, you know where I’ll be after class!
