Mad Men
For as much television as I cram into my week, it’s surprising that I’m just getting around to watching Mad Men. I just bought the first two seasons for my parents to enjoy, and I’ve been enjoying them too!!!
I still have a lot of catching up to do but OH MY GOD I love it! And seriously, January Jones, you make me want to be a blonde.

Starter for Ten.
I read David Nicholl’s book, One Day, this summer. My sister just lent me another one of his novels, Starter for Ten. James McAvoy plays the main character, Brian, in the movie version which apparently came out in 2007… it’s about a working-class kid in 1985 who has joined the University Challenge (British college jeopardy) team at his uni. So far I like it and it definitely...

Snowed In.
The dread of every graduating senior in college is just that, being a senior. Unless of course you are going to graduate school, in which case, you can enjoy the bliss of the student bubble a little longer. It being my last “true vacation” at home (not just a euphemism for post-grad unemployment) I’ve been really enjoying wearing my pajamas during the day and sharing tea with my...

Panettone French Toast
Every year we get Panettone to eat around Christmas time. It’s a sweet bread full of raisins and chestnuts. Normally I find it a little plain to enjoy dry, so this year, I made French Italian toast with it! Bon Appetit!
The Sorini brand is awwwwwwwwwwweeeeeesome.

Seriously?
My first blog post was about my love-hate relationship with my name, Claudine. Did I ever tell you about the little boy I was babysitting who wouldn’t leave his room because he was afraid I had “claws” (Claw-dine, get it?)
Well, apparently it was for good reason! I was looking after the child of a family friend who happens to be really into the new “Monster High”...

Couch Potato
As a self-professed television addict, it feels good to be home. Having access to my DVR, Hulu and HBO on Demand not only feels good, but feels right!
My addiction seems like homework almost since I spent the last two summers interning at an entertainment media planning agency. I’m not ashamed to say I have a list of about 15 shows in my Moleskine that I’m in “need” of...

England to New England.
Well, I’m not sure what the pilgrims were complaining about because the voyage from England to New England was really not that bad.
I cannot even believe that the last three months just happened. Just like that, I’m back in Wilton (womp womp womp). Kidding. Kind of. I’m not too keen on saying that the study abroad experience changed my life and that I’m a whole new...

On my list...
My best friend K gave me this candle for my birthday last year… I lit it almost every day and it lasted the entire school year. It smells divine and lasted forever! It is definitely on my wish list for Christmas this year.
Anthropologie. Capri Blue “Volcano” candle.

Holiday Treat- St. Clair Ice Cream
One thing I’ve come to look forward to during every major holiday (i.e. when your family gets together for a big meal) are the wonderful ice creams from St. Clair.
Based out of South Norwalk, Connecticut, these little ice cream snacks have been featured in Martha Stewart, Bon Appetit, In Style and Saveur. They make wonderful gifts and can be shipped across the U.S. (with dry ice!). I have...

Hallo uit Amsterdam!
Via Flickr
Greetings from Amsterdam. Promise to be a more efficient blogger AS SOON as I am done writing my final research paper for my Alfred Hitchcock film class.
I’m in a cute little café (not coffee shop!) right now working on my paper, freeloading off wi-fi and enjoying the white noise the Dutch babble provides.
I’m excited to share my own photos and experiences from...

Glovely
Also inspired by the weather in Oxford, and my cold little hands… witty mittens from Kate Spade, $65. Adorable gifts for the holidays (I’d pick the Hi-5)!

Cozy Comforts
With these cold days in Oxford (and snow!) I am swooning over these shots of Mary Turner’s rustic vacation home in Ketchum, Idaho.
